Christopher Keyes

Chris is the founder of RE:PUBLIC. He was previously editor in chief of Outside magazine and the editorial director of Texas Monthly. Under his leadership, Outside was nominated for five National Magazine Awards for General Excellence, winning in 2013. Chris served as board president of the American Society of Magazine Editors from 2014 to 2018. He lives in Santa Fe, New Mexico, where he recreates daily on public land.

Scott is chief of staff to the CEO at The Atlantic. He was formerly the site director at WIRED, where he led digital strategy, and digital director at Outside, where he worked to diversify revenue streams and expand the audience. He lives in New York City.

Whitney is the senior vice president of communications and operations at the Outdoor Recreation Roundtable in Washington, D.C. She worked for over 14 years in the U.S. Senate and House, most recently serving as deputy chief of staff and communications director for U.S. senator Martin Heinrich.

An expert in outdoor media, he previously led Backpacker magazine to multiple National Magazine Awards during his tenure as editor-in-chief. He lives in Boulder, Colorado.
